My Homecare Yorkshire Launch New Training Centre

New Training Centre at My Homecare Yorkshire.

My Homecare Yorkshire‘s new training company MHC Training Ltd commenced trading on Monday 1st July.

The training Centre is a well-equipped room including a profiling bed, hoists, high seat chairs, a wheelchair and a commode. There is seating for 24 delegates, a 51” tv for Powerpoint presentations, an easel with whiteboard and 2 computers on a separate desk which staff can use to access the internet for their own training purposes.

Well trained care staff is crucial for My Homecare to continue to provide high quality care services to vulnerable adults. The centre will make a great addition and will allow training to be delivered more frequently ensuring that new team members and existing carers training remains upto date at all times.

Initially the Training Centre will be providing courses in the following subjects: Moving and Handling, First Aid, Care Certificate, Medication and Safeguarding with the intention of offering other courses as the Centre progresses.

The training will be provided by Sin (Operations Director), who is Teach the Trainer and AET qualified, Wendy (Registered Manager) who is a qualified PTLLS trainer, and, Leonie (Co-ordinator) who is qualified to take Carers through their Care Certificate.

My Homecare Edmonton is the latest branch to gain CQC registration with our management teams support. They are are now at the next stage and able to start trading and offer assistance and care to people in the Edmonton area of London.

Branches awarded High Standard rating in Quality Audit – My Homecare ongoing support

 Results from Internal My Homecare Quality Audit.

My Homecare Derby have recently had their annual My Homecare Quality Audit and we are pleased to announce that the team achieved a 4 Star HIGH STANDARD rating form our Quality and Compliance Team.

This team have in place some very useful a person-centred policies to help assist their service users around their own home and also for hospital visits, showing that the team go that little further for vulnerable people they care for. Our compliance team were also very impressed with their staff retention.

All in all a very good audit and result for the Derby team.

For the second year running these branches have received wonderful reviews from their clients which have resulted in them both being listed in the Top 20 Care Providers in the North East of England via the National Homecare Awards 2019.

We would like to introduce Danny Sampson who is the latest member to join the My Homecare Management Team! After running his own successful My Homecare branch since 2017 (My Homecare-Crowborough) Danny has joined the My Homecare Management Team as our Southern Counties Development Manager.

The My Homecare Franchise is continuing to grow at a steady rate so this additional support for our Southern Branches will be a great asset to the company as a whole. Danny has the experience, drive and passion to fulfil this role and assist our Southern branches in achieving their goals in their growing businesses and we are excited to get him started.

This also means good news for the Northern branches too, with having this permanent contact based in the South to support our Southern branches this will free up our Head of Care Manager Elaine, meaning she can continue to provide support to our other branches working in the Northern Counties.

Great news for all of our Nationwide branches.

5 Star Exceptional Quality Audits.

My Homecare West Kent achieved a 5 Star “Exceptional” rating in their My Homecare Quality Audit recently. The My Homecare Compliance Team were particularly impressed with the quality systems that were in place and the comprehensive record keeping. They were also happy with the standard of training that the team were providing their staff.

What is a Quality Audit?

“As part of the My Homecare franchise package our experts provide an internal audit and accreditation service to our franchise partners. Under our Star Quality Rating, individual branches get assessed by members of our experienced Head Office team. We undertake these assessments at a minimum every year. We measure the service on 40 performance indicators, which includes the quality of the care you provide, but also how your business is developing. Star Ratings are posted on your website and used to promote your service. The audit is usually completed in one day and is excellent preparation for potential CQC or commissioner inspections. The process is collaborative and design to support the My Homecare branches. Full feedback and suggestions are given following the audit.”
